The New Standard In Dental Assisting Education
12 Week Dental Assisting Program
Our hands-on courses are designed to prepare students to work in dental offices and to learn what it takes to become a dental assistant.
The learning experience has been strategically structured to build a required skill set with advanced techniques based on the modern practices of dentists.
The majority of the education will be taught in various parts of the dental practice, with a heavy emphasis on developing technical skills, building confidence in a clinical setting, experience using dental supplies, materials, and technologies, and teaching best practices of dental assisting.
OceanPointe of San Jacinto prepares you with all the skills you need using a proven curriculum taught by passionate and knowledgeable instructors who are excited to help you succeed in the field.
What to expect.
Every week will feature a blend of live lectures and practical lab skills. On Saturdays, you will participate in classes from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, focused on acquiring and refining your dental assisting skills in an actual dental office!
Oceanpointe Dental Assisting Academy of San Jacinto offers programs that are approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) and subject to the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009, and others that are not. Certain rights and protections outlined in our institutional policies, including but not limited to student refund rights, cancellation rights, and Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) eligibility, apply ONLY to the following state-approved program:
- Dental Assisting Program (166 Clock Hours)
(Note: The stand-alone continuing education certificate courses offered by this institution—Coronal Polishing, Pit and Fissure Sealants, Radiation Safety, Infection Control, and the California Dental Practice Act—consist of 32 hours or less of instruction, do not independently lead to a separate employment classification under CEC § 94837, and do not require BPPE approval. These short courses are individually approved and regulated separately by the Dental Board of California)
